Pompano, Beach, FL—The Gordon Co. is seeking a Jewelry Liquidation Consultant.

Required Experience: At least 5 years of high-end retail jewelry management experience.

Job Description/Overview: The Gordon Company, the premier provider to the upscale jewelry industry and a leader in customized strategies designed to help fine jewelry retailers reach their financial goals, seeks qualified freelance contractors to conduct jewelry liquidation and promotional events throughout North America. Applicants must have extensive management, sales, and promotional experience, and must be customer and client focused with proficiency in Excel, Word, and written and oral communications. Accredited gemological and jewelry training and certification are pluses.

Job Responsibilities: Candidates must work closely with store owners and key store personnel, must be creative and entrepreneurial by nature, and must have the ability to motivate and encourage others to succeed. Good judgement, quality decision-making, problem-solving, and working effectively with people are all critical to the success of each project. The ability to manage, train, supervise, and communicate with store staff is vital. A think-outside-the-box mentality will contribute greatly to growth and success within this role and within the corporation.

Related Experience:

Work Schedule: This position requires an average of 11 consecutive weeks away from home per assignment. All consultants are required to be onsite for the entire term of each project.

Financial Rewards: Financial rewards are commensurate with the time and effort put in, and the economic results of each event.

I have owned my own retail store, managed jewelry departments for retailers, worked on the road selling large diamonds and high end pieces for the Pluczenics ( I was personally responsible for up to $3,000,000 in inventory). I am a GIA Diamonds Graduate and have completed the Colored Stones Essentials program. I am experienced in writing appraisals. I love working with people and manage with a warm demeanor and a firm countenance. I have taught my craft on the Jr. College level on I have teaching experience.
