Karl Lagerfeld Bridal Jewelry Makes Official North American Debut

New York, NY—KARL LAGERFELD Bridal Jewelry, a new brand under the creative direction of the legendary fashion icon and produced by Frederick Goldman, officially launched this week in North America. The brand was introduced at the JCK Show in Las Vegas and the first pieces are now in stores.

In honor of the collection launch, a special limited edition engagement ring was unveiled, encapsulating Lagerfeld’s vision for the fine jewelry line. Combining the ideas of love and harmony, the exclusive Les Coeurs Entrelaces (The Interlaced Hearts) features the outlines of two intertwined diamond hearts, which naturally encompass a marquise shaped diamond center stone (left).

KARL LAGERFELD bridal jewelry is designed with today’s millennial consumer in mind. The collection features clean, geometric shapes as well as curves and arches taking inspiration from Parisian architecture. Each ring is offered in 18k white or yellow gold, or platinum, and the line—available at select better independent jewelers--is priced from $1,000 to $10,000.

Stuller Brings Mine-To-Market CanadaMark Melee To U.S.

Lafayette, LA—Stuller has partnered with Canada’s Dominion Diamond Corp. to introduce CanadaMark melee diamonds—tracked from mine to market to guarantee ethical sourcing—to the North American market. Stuller is the first to offer these stones in the United States.

“The program will track melee diamonds in batches through audited processes at every stage from country of origin to polished stone,” says Stanley Zale, Stuller vice-president of diamonds and gemstones. “Because of its size, melee is rarely tracked, so this is a big deal.”

Every batch of CanadaMark melee from Stuller is:

  •  Responsibly mined in Canada’s Northwest Territories
  •  In full compliance with the Canadian Diamond Code of Conduct
  •  Natural and untreated

“At Stuller, our goal has always been to provide our customers with complete product offerings in the most environmentally conscious way possible,” says founder and CEO Matt Stuller. “CanadaMark melee will help us in meeting that goal.”

“Stuller has always carried melee diamonds, but now we’ll be able to offer our customers natural melee that has been tracked from mine to market,” continued Zale. The CanadaMark melee is an addition to Dominion’s CanadaMark hallmark program for certified diamonds that was rejuvenated three years ago.

Dominion Diamond research shows demand for ethically sourced melee, especially among Millennial consumers. Learn more here.

Pease & Curren Enhances Its Premium Stone Removal Service

Warwick, RI—Pease & Curren precious metals refiner and recycler introduces an upgrade to its premium stone removal process. The unique proprietary filtering process guarantees all diamonds are recovered from the settings.

The company is constantly working to increase efficiency for refining processes. This new proprietary screening process ensures maximum filtering by using a specially designed container for stones, allowing recovery of even the smallest melee. The process also is cyanide-free, causing no harm to the environment or employees who handle the stones.

The company says the new process:

  • Saves man-hours on stone removal.
  • Means no more cracked stones
  • Assures the best price possible.

Customers are encouraged to use the Direct Buy Diamond Buy service for diamonds. Unlike other diamond buying services, Pease & Curren does not purchase and resell the stones; checks are issued directly from buyer to seller for better prices and returns for both. Click here for more information.
