The report stated that George Akay, 46, and Freddy Akay, 42, owners of Akay Diamonds, were arrested and charged with assault following an altercation with TraxNYC owner Maksud Agadjani, 39. The incident occurred inside Akay Diamonds on West 47th Street and was captured in videos later shared on social media.

According to the report, Agadjani entered the store, accusing the Akay brothers of defrauding him and his customers. Footage showed him confronting the brothers while holding a bracelet and receipt before security intervened.

The report noted that the dispute escalated after one of the Akay brothers allegedly spat in Agadjani's face, triggering a physical fight involving multiple individuals. Agadjani was taken to Bellevue Hospital and later posted videos showing marks on his neck, alleging he was strangled with his own chain.

Police charged both Akay brothers with assault, the report said. Another individual was issued a summons, though authorities did not confirm that person's role.

As per the report, Agadjani alleged that Akay Diamonds sold a bracelet to his customer while misrepresenting its gold content, claiming a 14-karat item was actually 10-karat. The allegations have not been independently verified, the report noted.
