The Emmys: Who Wore The Brands You Sell? | September 22, 2015 (0 comments)
Los Angeles, CA—Television’s prestigious Emmy Awards are one of the leading events for the American jewelry industry to shine. And while the television set itself was not a uniquely American invention, the television broadcast—and the culture it spawned—is as homegrown as apple pie.
Here’s a rundown of who wore what on the red carpet for the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night. Many actresses chose familiar brands—and possibly even the very same pieces that jewelers have in their showcases. Some of the brands represented include Simon G., Forevermark, Le Vian, Doves, Fred Leighton, A. Link, Rahaminov, Premier Gem, and more.
Many stars chose platinum for the event. Emmy-nominated actress Elisabeth Moss, (Mad Men) said, "I wanted to go for Hollywood glamour as an ode to the end of Mad Men. I love how (my stylist) Karla (Welch) stacked my vintage Beladora platinum bracelets on one wrist. I wore 7 bracelets for my 7 Emmy nominations. And, I love how platinum makes the diamonds sparkle!” Moss also wore Beladora earrings (left), bracelet, and ring with pearls and diamonds in platinum.
Taraji P. Henson (Empire) wore platinum and diamond drop earrings, ring, and bracelet by Neil Lane for a total of 60 carats and $1 million worth of jewelry, below:
Kerry Washington (below left) wore platinum and diamond jewelry by Harry Winston; actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (below right) wore 28.78 ctw platinum and diamond earrings by Chopard:
Lena Headey wore platinum and diamond ear studs and ring by Harry Kotlar; Mad Men’s Jessica Pare wore Fred Leighton platinum and diamond swirl earrings and bracelet; comedian Tina Fey wore Fred Leighton platinum cluster earrings with diamonds and ruby beads, platinum and diamond ring, and platinum bracelets with diamonds and onyx.
Actress Marcia Gay Harden wore platinum and diamond ear studs (3.36 ctw) by Harry Winston; Mindy Kaling wore Neil Lane platinum drop earrings and ring with diamond and citrine; Viola Davis chose Neil Lane’s platinum and diamond chandelier earrings, ring, and bracelets.
Platinum went for the boys, too: Fred Savage and David Oyelowo both wore Neil Lane: Savage in a platinum and onyx dress set by and Oyelowo in an arrow lapel pin and cufflinks with diamond and onyx.
Getting On Actress Niecy Nash (below) wore Simon G.’s white gold ring with diamonds and ruby and Simon G. white gold earrings. Actress Penelope Ann Miller also wore Simon G.; a white and rose gold bracelet with diamonds.
Actress Sufe Bradshaw wore Doves by Doron Paloma earrings to the Emmys as well as HBO’s Official 2015 Emmy After Party at The Plaza in Los Angeles:
