Cartier Opens First West Coast Airport Boutique at LAX with DFS Group February 25, 2025 (0 comments)

Los Angeles, CA--Cartier has opened its first airport boutique on the U.S. West Coast at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in partnership with DFS Group. According to TRBusiness, the boutique is located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, one of North America’s busiest airports.

The store is part of Cartier’s expansion into airport retail, now operating 24 boutiques in 19 major airports. The report stated that the LAX boutique features a Los Angeles-inspired interior and an exterior façade with a patterned champagne gold panel reflecting California’s coastline.
The boutique offers Cartier’s jewelry, watches, fragrances, and leather goods. Per the report, the interior design incorporates neutral, oceanic, and sunset-inspired colors, with a mural combining Cartier’s panther symbol and LA’s architectural influences.
As per the report, Cartier’s Global Travel Retail Director, Virginie Martignac, stated that the LAX opening is part of the brand’s strategy to establish a presence in key airports worldwide. Cartier’s airport retail initiative, launched in 2020, aims to create curated boutique spaces while incorporating sustainability measures such as LEED certification.
Walter Bolognino, President & CEO of Cartier North America, highlighted Cartier’s long-standing presence in Los Angeles, stating the brand has been part of the city for over 50 years. DFS Group’s Global President, Merchandising and Marketing, Malissa Iannone Akay, described the LAX boutique as a long-term investment in luxury travel retail.
