AGS Elects Board Members for the Upcoming Year May 19, 2023 (0 comments)
Las Vegas, NV--At the American Gem Society’s (AGS) annual Membership Breakfast during Conclave on Wednesday, May 3, the membership confirmed the AGS International Board of Directors for 2023–2024.
The American Gem Society International Board of Directors for the upcoming year is as follows:
The American Gem Society’s (AGS) confirmed the election of its board of directors for 2023 - 2024 at the AGS Conclave, held earlier this month in Louisville, KY.
The makeup of the board remained largely the same as last year. This includes the reelection of Lisa Bridge, CEO of Ben Bridge Jeweler, to a second consecutive one-year term as president of the board. The other board members are as follows:

- Sr. Advisor, William Farmer Jr.
- Treasurer; Chair: Finance, Audit & Legal Committee, Larry Rickert
- Chair: Young Titleholders Committee, Maria Brown, RJ
- Chair: AGS Laboratories Advisory Committee, John Carter, CGA and Gemological Sciences Committee
- Chair: Membership Committee, Mitchell Clark, CG
- Chair: International Guilds Council, Amanda Coleman-Phelps, CGA
- Chair: Education Committee, Sarah Person, CG
- Chair: Conclave Subcommittee, Denise Richards, CGA
- Director-at-Large, Sarin Bachmann
- Director-at-Large, Ryan Berg, CG

David Mazer, CG, was elected as the only new addition to the board. He works as director of Sales and Training, Diamond Buyer, for Marks Jewelers in Montgomeryville, PA.
The one person leaving the AGS board is Rick Beckett, who first joined the board as director-at-large.

He brings valuable expertise, and we look forward to working with him,” Lisa Bridge said. “I would also like to thank Rick Beckett for his service to the American Gem Society Board. His contribution is greatly appreciated, and we count on his continued involvement in the Society.”
