Armed Robbery at Huntersville Jewelry Store Sparks FBI Investigation July 15, 2023 (0 comments)

Huntersville, NC--Fink's Jewelers in Birkdale Village was the target of a bold daytime robbery on Tuesday, as confirmed by local police to the media. Three unidentified male culprits, armed with handguns and sledgehammers, executed the heist, leaving the store in disarray.

According to a report published by WSOCTV, the assailants, garbed in hooded sweatshirts and full-face masks, stormed into the jewelry store around noon. Two men corralled employees into a corner of the establishment at gunpoint while the third suspect kept vigil at the entrance. They proceeded to shatter glass display cases, making away with undisclosed jewelry.

The report noted that following the theft, the suspects reportedly escaped in possibly two vehicles, the details of which remain unreleased by the Huntersville police.

As per the report, the incident resulted in no physical harm to the employees, with damages confined to the shattered display units. In collaboration with local law enforcement, the FBI is investigating the incident.
