Paris, France--Following the launch of Balmain's first jewelry line last year, the Parisian fashion house has introduced dedicated corners for its jewelry collections in prominent stores such as Paris, New York, and Milan, with plans for more in Shanghai and Los Angeles flagships.

According to a report by Fashion Network, although specific figures were not disclosed, Balmain stated that its Fine Jewelry line experienced immediate success with its bold designs, reinterpreting iconic elements from Balmain's archives.

The jewelry line comprises two main collections, Emblem and Labyrinth, featuring 23 pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, crafted in French workshops from ethical 18-carat gold, conflict-free minerals, and traceable gemstones. Prices range from 1,500 to 22,000 euros.

The Emblem collection combines yellow gold, diamonds, onyx, and tsavorite, drawing inspiration from Balmain's heraldic crest and Olivier Rousteing's autumn/winter 2012/13 Fabergé egg-inspired designs. The Labyrinth collection highlights a complex motif first introduced by Pierre Balmain in 1970, inspired by French Renaissance gardens, and reincorporated by the brand's current creative director.

Launched in partnership with Swiss group Adorisa in spring 2022, the jewelry line is available through select e-tailers, such as Net-a-Porter and Farfetch, and around twenty specialized retailers worldwide, with a focus on the US and UK markets. Balmain aims to expand distribution further.

To emphasize this new product category, unique jewelry displays with black glass and gold metal backgrounds have been designed, complementing the Parisian mansion ambiance of Balmain boutiques. The Milan store on Via Montenapoleone showcased the new corner installation during Design Week.

"It is important that the design of each Balmain space emphasizes the second part of the house's official name: Balmain Paris," said Olivier Rousteing, as per the report. "Just as we do with Balmain jewelry, we are interpreting our heritage in a contemporary and innovative way, avoiding all clichés."
