Bellevue’s Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler to Close in September After 45-Year Run July 09, 2025 (0 comments)
Bellevue, WA--After more than four decades in business, Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler in Bellevue will permanently close this September, following the retirement of Steven Goldfarb, its president and a fifth-generation jeweler. The closure marks the end of a business that has operated in the region since 1980, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Goldfarb described the store’s long history as deeply connected to its customers and staff. “It has been an honor of a lifetime to share in the stories and joys of our valued clients and to work alongside our team of talented and dedicated jewelers,” he said, per the report.
The business will launch a combined retirement and going-out-of-business sale starting July 24. Discounts on jewelry and accessories will reach up to 60%. As part of the sale, the store will open for limited Sunday hours from noon to 5 p.m. beginning July 27, in addition to its usual schedule of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the report noted.
Founded by Goldfarb’s father, Alvin, the business built a reputation in the local fine jewelry market and counted high-profile customers such as Mariners Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. It also supported local charities through events like the “Goldfarb Raffles,” the report highlighted.
Reflecting on the closure, Steven Goldfarb said, “This community has become part of my extended family, and while the decision to retire and shutter the store wasn’t easy, it feels like the right time to turn the page and begin a new chapter.”
Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler operates from a 5,000-square-foot location at 305 Bellevue Way NE. Records from King County show that in 1997, the Goldfarb family purchased the 0.2-acre property from the city of Bellevue for $88,165, according to the report.
