According to a report by Page Six, industry sources indicate Bloomingdale's is extending significant offers to employees at competing luxury retailers. The recruitment drive follows reports of payroll discrepancies at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Global’s bankruptcy filing last month.

The report notes that some designers are also seeking to move their brands due to unpaid bills at Saks-owned properties. A Bloomingdale's insider confirmed that employees from competitors and several brands have approached the company to discuss opportunities, the report noted.

As stated in the report, Bloomingdale's is currently undergoing a phased renovation of its 59th Street flagship store. This includes a new luxury section on the fourth floor featuring brands such as Chanel, Valentino, and Versace.

Saks Global CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck stated the company is taking actions to reinforce its brands, having secured a $1.75 billion financial package to address outstanding debts, according to an earlier statement to Associated Press noted in the Page Six report.
