Bob Feero, Father of Alex Sepkus’ Jeff Feero, Passes Away August 12, 2010 (0 comments)
Albany, NY – Robert W. Feero, 83, of Coburg Village, Rexford, NY, formerly of Burnt Hills, NY and Fort Meyers, FL, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Albany, NY, after a brief illness. Mr. Feero was the father of Jeff Feero, managing partner at designer Alex Sepkus.
Born on October 4, 1926 in Swampscott, MA, Bob was the son of Welsley D. Feero and Maxine P. Feero of Lynn, MA. He graduated in 1944 from Lynn English High School.
From 1944 to 1947 he served in the US Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate. Bob graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham in 1951 with a A.B. Degree in Economics and Labor Relations. He then went on to serve in the US Army as First Lieutenant Infantry in Korea.
For 35 years Bob worked for GE, in Lynn, MA, Hendersonville, NC, Schenectady, NY, and Taiwan. While in Taiwan Bob was a Manager-Materials for a joint venture with United Asia Electric Company. Bob was a longtime member of St. Andrewʼs Episcopal Church in Scotia, NY. He was the loving husband to the late Betty M. (Jones) Feero, who passed away in 1997 after 45 years of marriage. Bob is survived by their five children, Robert E. and his wife Gretchen, Debra A. Pratt and her husband Ralph, Scott A. and his wife Lin Ying, Stephen M. and his wife Berty, and Jeffrey D.; six grandchildren, Zachary, Eliza, Amanda, Jeffrey, Maya and Wesley.
