ALOR International Debuts Swiss Watch Collection Aimed at Women

San Diego, CA—ALOR International Ltd., the luxury jewelry company founded by the Zemer family in 1979, announces the launch of a new collection of luxury timepieces: ALOR Swiss Watches. The Swiss-made collection is the latest addition to the ALOR brand. The firm also since the 1980s has been the designer and distributor for the 18k gold and cable Charriol jewelry collection in North America and the Caribbean.

With a classic design aesthetic and contemporary styling, ALOR’s Swiss Watches offers six collections for fall/winter 2013: 1979, Alor, Cavo, Valenti, Forte and Elitesub. While several of the styles are unisex, principal Ori Zemer says, “Most watch brands are focused on men and what they wear, but our focus is on women, their luxury fashion lifestyle and the value of their time.”

It’s about time, It’s about me” is the brand tag line. Its fall advertising campaign will be seen in a range of media, including large-scale national television spots, full-page advertisements in Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Niche Media publications. Additionally, ALOR is the official sponsor of the Los Angeles Confidential 2013 Emmy party.

Price points range from $695 to $4,000. The collection will be available for retail sale nationwide in mid-October. To view the full collection, visit www.alor.com/.

Separately, ALOR announces the appointment of Marvin Scherzer as senior vice president of sales for the timepiece division.  Scherzer brings more than 25 years of sales, marketing, and product development expertise in the luxury watch and fine jewelry industry and will be responsible for sales, brand development and the growth of ALOR Swiss Watches.

For more than 12 years, Scherzer was co-founder and executive vice president of sales and marketing of Di Modolo International, where he developed the brand from the ground up in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. Prior to Di Modolo, Scherzer spent more than 12 years at Raymond Weil Genève as vice president of sales.

“We consider ourselves fortunate to have Marvin on board,” said Ori Zemer, ALOR principal. “He is a true leader in the industry with a proven track record for building brands and growing businesses; most of all, he fits well into our family. We have no doubt he will be a great asset to ALOR.”
