Walnut Creek, CA—Forevermark opened its first Forevermark branded boutique in the United States on November 8. The new store, located in tony Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, is a partnership with the Padis family, owners of the three-store Padis Jewelry chain.

Natives of the San Francisco Bay area, the Padis family has been in business for 45 years and have been authorized Forevermark jewelers since 2012. They own two stores in San Francisco, and one in Napa Valley.

Charles Stanley, president of Forevermark US, cut the inaugural ribbon, kicking off a weekend-long celebration offering unique experiences for guests as they shop the brand’s responsibly sourced diamonds.

“In opening our first Forevermark boutique, consumers will be able to more deeply experience and appreciate the full journey of a Forevermark diamond,” he said, adding that Forevermark applied the same rigorous standards when selecting a partner and location for its first boutique as it does for its diamonds.

“When thinking about a location for this first Forevermark store, Walnut Creek was our top choice. Broadway Plaza is at the cutting edge of what is happening in retail today, which is experience, and that is what Forevermark is all about. We are not here just to sell diamonds, we are providing our clients with the highest level of service to mark their most memorable moments,” said Judy Padis.

The interior of the store is light, bright, and airy, featuring pale gray wood flooring and Forevermark’s signature black-and-white motif for walls and showcases. Brand imagery around the store lends a fashion-forward sensibility.

“We are thrilled to bring Forevermark diamonds, diamonds that you can feel proud to own and wear forever, to Bay Area shoppers,” echoed Stanley.

The grand opening weekend festivities offered shoppers a variety of unique experiences, including the opportunity to try on one-of-a-kind diamond jewelry pieces from the Forevermark Red Carpet Collection, worn by some of Hollywood’s leading women. The highlight of that collection is the Force of Nature Ring, featuring Forevermark’s two millionth inscribed diamond. The 7.78-carat piece was inspired by the strength and elegance of the iconic African antelope, the Kudu. Actress Emily Blunt wore the piece when she accepted the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Throughout the weekend, shoppers also were treated to complimentary manicures, seasonal warm beverages, and a daily ‘Bubbles and Bites’ champagne happy hour. The event also featured a charitable element, a sobering reminder of tragedy not far away: a portion of sales from the grand opening weekend will be donated to The California Fire Foundation to support victims, firefighters, and communities affected by wildfire throughout California.

Stuller Celebrates 50 Years in Business

Lafayette, LA—Stuller Inc. is gearing up to celebrate 50 years as a prime manufacturer and distributor of jewelry and jewelry-related supplies. The company was incorporated on November 12, 1970 by Matthew Stuller in Lafayette, LA, and is still both privately-owned and headquartered there today.

Stuller began working for a local jeweler in high school, and within a year had worked his way into doing repairs and sales. He saw a need for local jewelry businesses to source quality findings and mountings quickly and easily. His business grew from a one-man operation working out of the corner of his dad’s dental office and the trunk of his own car to an international corporation of 1,573 employees worldwide.

“I am so grateful to the business owners who graciously gave a young guy a chance years ago by supporting my sales efforts,” says Stuller, founder and CEO.  “And today we still work with those customers, in addition to enjoying a partnership with so many more. Stuller is only successful when they are successful.”

Today Stuller offers jewelry professionals everything they need to operate a business, from settings to a wide selection of ready-to-wear jewelry to fabricated metals and tools to diamonds and gemstones to CAD software and digital solutions.

“Stuller has always been one of the backbones of the industry because of the integrity that they bring. We depend on Stuller.” says Dave Meadows of Art Jewelers Diamonds and Design in Woodstock, Georgia. “It's become the way we think. We think like Stuller. And that's important when you're trying to learn the business. Stuller is right up there to show you how to do it.”
