Frederique Constant Creates Watch To Fight Muscular Dystrophy
Geneva, Switzerland—Every year, one baby boy of every 3,500 born is afflicted with a rare and debilitating condition known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The Monaco Association against Myopathies foundation has been leading the way in research to combat the disease, and for the past seven years, Frédérique Constant has been active in support of the center. In 2013, it will contribute a specially designed watch and jewellery collection for the annual auction held to raise funds, set for September 28 in Monaco’s Hôtel Hermitage.
Frédérique Constant’s one-of-a-kind timepiece for Only Watch 2013 is based on the iconic Double Heart watch and jewellery collection. It is donating a “Double Heart Woman Set” comprised of a Lady Automatic Double Heart Beat timepiece with an 18k rose gold case with diamond pave, presented in a specially designed leather gift box.
In addition to the watch, Frédérique Constant created a three-piece jewelry set consisting of a pendant, bracelet, and matching pair of earrings. All three pieces are finished in the same 18k rose gold as the watch.

Jewelers Mutual Named Among Top 50 Insurance Companies; Names VP of IT

Neenah, WI—Jewelers Mutual announces Jared Ashland has been promoted to vice president of information technology, replacing Joel Matthies, who was recently promoted to senior vice president of personal lines. Ashland joined the company in 2006, progressing from manager of enterprise systems and planning to director of application systems and director of architecture and integration management.

"Jared Ashland was a natural choice for vice president of information technology based on his technical knowledge, leadership skills and dedication to the company," said CEO Darwin Copeman. "His career is an excellent example of how hard work, professional development, and expertise are rewarded at Jewelers Mutual. He's a tremendous asset to our team."

As vice president of IT, Ashland's responsibilities include the overall leadership, management, strategic development and execution of technology resources, investments and department operations. Ashland was a key member of the Jewelers Mutual IT team recognized with the prestigious CIO 100 award in 2010 for IT innovation in delivering business solutions.

Separately, JMI has been named to the 2013 list of Ward's 50 top performing insurance companies for the third consecutive year. With previous recognition in 2005 and 2006, this marks the fifth time Jewelers Mutual has received the designation in the past eight years.

"It is an honor to be named to Ward's 50, and I am very proud that our company has earned this recognition as we celebrate our centennial anniversary in 2013," said Copeman. "As a mutual insurance company, we look at the insurance business with a long-term perspective, and I think recognition like Ward's 50 shows that we are thriving as we look to the future."
