Lake Worth, FL—Joseph J. Rothman, father of Glenn Rothman, died April 26. The elder Rothman was born in 1919 in Liberty, NY. The family moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he graduated from high school and attended City College for two years before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He spent five years in service, first as Military Policeman before being promoted up the ranks to first sergeant. He served and was wounded on front lines during World War II, and received the Purple Heart medal. After the war, he returned to the family women’s coat business started by his father, Harry. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley Levine Rothman, he is survived by two children, daughter Donna Tehel of Langhorne, PA, and son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Susan Rothman of Wellesley, MA, founders of Hearts on Fire; and a granddaughter, great-grandson, sister, brother, and a sister-in-law.
