Las Vegas, NV—Shades of blue, and nude (a pale peachy pink) were the top color trends identified for fashion and jewelry at the Red Carpet Revue presented by Le Vian on June 7 during the JCK Show. The star-studded annual trend forecasting and benefit event, now in its 18th year, brought star power and welcomed audience participation via social media across multiple channels including Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. In total, it garnered more than half a million viewers around the world, while retailers, collectors, and members of the Le Vian family were on hand at the event, held at the Mandalay Bay.

The event also serves to benefit Jewelers For Children, and this year’s tally topped $500,000, including an extremely generous donation by Le Vian collector Cecil Pruitt.

The red carpet arrival hour gave guests a chance to meet Le Vian CEO Eddie LeVian and president Moossa LeVian. Many guests also were interviewed by TV personality, author, and host Ross Matthews. The event opened with remarks from Eddie LeVian, followed by a vignette of videos featuring retailers, collectors, and the next generation of the LeVian family, talking about the history, uniqueness, charitable giving, and future of the legacy brand.  LeVian then called upon select members from the audience to announce the 12 top trends for 2018, many of which were about color. “No one colors your world like Le Vian!” he announced with a flourish.

Harper’s Bazaar magazine, longtime sponsor and partner in the event, presented a special video message from editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey, followed by the Fall 2017 fashion trend forecast by executive fashion and beauty editor Avril Graham, a mainstay of the event.

As always, Graham also narrated a fashion runway show, and once again this year Andie Weinman, president of the Continental Buying Group, led off the catwalk show wearing thigh-high black stiletto boots, a glittering silver minidress, and Le Vian jewelry.

Andie Weinman, left, opened the show with a stroll down the runway; right, a model in Le Vian jewelry and carrying a clutch from the brand's handbag line.

Rounding out the evening was a dazzling performance by Film, TV and Tony Award-winning actress Jane Krakowski (top of page), best known for her television roles on FOX TVs Ally McBeal, NBC TV’s 30 Rock and Netflix’s The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She wowed the crowd with contemporary renditions of classics like Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend, but of course with a special Le Vian version.
