Oscar Heyman Debuts Diamond Ballerina Watch, Its First in 35 Years

New York—Oscar Heyman’s first watch launch in more than three decades is here. The Ballerina Watch, left, retailing for approximately $120,000, was designed to evoke the brand’s famous ballerina ring, one of the firm’s most coveted ring designs of the 1950s. Both watch and ring evoke the sensation of a ballerina’s tutu as she pirouettes across the stage. The Ballerina watch features nearly 9-1/2 carats of diamonds, with an invisibly set diamond face. Only a limited number are available; for information call Oscar Heyman at (212) 593-0400.

John Hardy Boosts Online Presence

Hong Kong—John Hardy is beefing up the Internet element to its marketing this fall. In addition to glossy print ads in luxury fashion and lifestyle magazines, the jeweler launched a revamped e-commerce site this week. This article in Luxury Daily says the revamped Hardy website features both new product and behind-the-scenes videos, such as one about the making of the jeweler’s fall print ad campaign starring supermodel Angela Lindvall.  A tab on the John Hardy Facebook page hosts the fall campaign video and offers a chance for customers to win a piece of jewelry from the line. The website also includes a virtual tour of the John Hardy compound in Bali, Indonesia, interviews with head designer Guy Bedarida, and updates on events and social responsibility programs.

“Creating an emotional connection to fine jewelry is essential, which is why our site will engage users with detailed high-quality photos, educational videos, and an interactive blog that brings the story to life,” CEO Damien Dernoncourt told Luxury Daily.
