Bvlgari Revamps NYC Flagship; Focuses on U.S. Expansion

New York, NY—Bvlgari unveiled its redesigned Fifth Avenue flagship Monday, part of a comprehensive U.S. expansion plan. The new flagship, designed by Peter Marino, is a mix of classic and modern. It features a door that is a reproduction of the brand's Baroque Via Condotti door from 1930, and the exterior (left) was inspired by a 1930s heritage bracelet clasp with lighted, bronzed flowers handmade in Italy. Inside, original chandeliers designed by Gio Ponti in 1960 formerly hung in the Parco dei Principi hotel’s ballroom in Rome.

On the mezzanine floor is the lounging room where Elizabeth Taylor would spend hours perusing jewels as she escaped the paparazzi. The room is inspired by the 1960s with vintage armchairs, plush blush sofas, onyx coffee tables and marble tables to display the jewels.

In addition to the flagship remodel, Bvlgari also renovated its Michigan Avenue boutique in Chicago, opened a boutique in the King of Prussia Mall last April--its first in Pennsylvania--and plans to open a boutique in Boston by the end of November.

Fresh And Green: One Jewelry Company Gives Back In An Unique Way

New York, NY—Jewelry brand Angelica Collection is no stranger to giving back. First, the company partnered with Generation Rescue (www.generationrescue.org), a non-profit organization founded by Jenny McCarthy, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with autism. Now, it’s instituting an eco-friendly, socially conscious production process using recyclable metals for all its pieces.

In this way, the company is working to support the environment and its resources by reducing its own carbon footprint. Additionally, most of the pieces are manufactured in the United States. Says Phillip Maroof, vice president, “Our goal is to be a company that not only cares about our product and consumers, but also cares about the world. We want to give back on all fronts and are constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of others.”

The affordable Angelica Collection line is all about self-expression, and the company offers a variety of ways to incorporate charity into that. In addition to its collection of inspirational and motivational bracelets, Angelica Collection offers pieces with designs that support military personnel, law enforcement, and breast cancer research and support. Angelica Collection bracelets are available for purchase both online and at retailers throughout the United States. Prices range from $25 - $39; customization is available upon request.
