New York, NY--Bulgari’s designer Fabrizio Buonamassa and MB&F founder Max Büsser have collaborated for a second time to transform Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti into a purpose-built horological machine.

According to Monochrome, the new watch adapts elements from MB&F’s HM10 Bulldog movement, which has been significantly modified for the Serpenti. The case was produced using 5-axis 3D milling to create complex curves and is fitted with five sapphire crystals, ensuring a 30-meter water resistance.
The report stated that the design offers different views: from the top, the Serpenti’s triangular head and rotating aluminum domes reveal time and mechanical details, while from the side, the case’s profile and stepped sapphire crystals evoke automotive influences reminiscent of 1930s Bugatti Atlantic. Dual crowns at 1 o’clock and 11 o’clock serve for time-setting and winding, with additional design elements including a paper-thin, Super-LumiNova-enhanced display on the domes.
According to Monochrome, the Bulgari x MB&F Serpenti is offered in three variants—rose gold, titanium, and black PVD-coated steel—each limited to 33 pieces. The rose gold version features bright green domes, the titanium model blue, and the black PVD version red. Each model is paired with a matching hand-stitched rubber strap.
Pricing is set at EUR 140,000 for both the titanium and black PVD versions, and EUR 161,000 for the rose gold iteration, with all prices excluding taxes. Technical specifications include a case size of 53mm x 39mm x 18mm, a manual-winding movement with 310 components, a 14mm suspended balance wheel beating at 2.5Hz, and a 45-hour power reserve.
This release marks a further step in the ongoing collaboration between Bulgari and MB&F, following their earlier partnership on the Legacy Machine Flying T Allegra, as reported by Monochrome.
