Merrick, NY—Do you have a pampered pooch or a princess kitty? Is there a furry salesperson in your store, or do you head home to a four-legged friend at the end of the day?

If so, The Centurion wants to know! Send us a photo of your pet to share with The Centurion Newsletter community.  Shown at left is four year old Lana, of the Centurion executive staff, who along with her two and a half year old “sister” Sookie, below, is responsible for greeting guests, ensuring adequate work/play balance, and, of course, just looking beautiful.

Sookie, a 2-1/2 year old Shetland Sheepdog (also called a Sheltie), helps her "sister" Lana, another Sheltie, maintain order on the Centurion executive team.

Whether furred, finned, or feathered, lavish purebred, or lovable mutt, it’s been proven that the benefits of a pet are substantial, from both a health and, often, a business standpoint. Jewelers whose store has a dog or cat in residence find customers find excuses to drop in more often so they can visit the store mascot. Manufacturers with a pet onsite will find their bench jewelers keep a stash of treats in the drawer. And of course, anyone who has a furry friend waiting at home after work can feel stress drop away with every purr or tail wag.

Please email all photos to Hedda Schupak, Editor. Email: hedda@centurionjewelry.com. Phone (610) 393-1955.  Please include pet’s name, age, and whether he or she goes to work or hangs out at home.

Jasmine, 10, is CMO (chief mousing officer) and responsible for keeping The Centurion Newsletter’s editorial office free of errant field creatures and guarding its front entrance.

In his role as The Centurion Newsletter’s editorial office assistant, Giles, seven, occasionally helps clean off the desk by pushing clutter to the floor.
