Paris, France--Cartier reopened its flagship showroom in Paris to showcase its new reimagined concept, which will see its six-story building accommodate 37 artisans who create, service, and restore the jewelry, watches, and art. The building will also have 40 sales associates in 10 salons.

According to a news report, "the place of origin and collective memory" at 13 Paix — as described by the company's CEO Cyrille Vigneron — is part of a trio of "temples" that include New Bond Street in London and 5th Avenue in New York.

"The new building unveiled today belongs to no one period in time but respects them all," Mr. Vigneron said, per the report. "It favors no one style but celebrates them all. A free and theatrical interpretation of Parisian codes, it offers a sublimated, poetic and timeless version of the capital, its rooftops, its perspectives and its secret treasures."

13 Paix is also the business' first address in the city. The refurbishment will see the visitors who enter from 13 Rue de la Paix being greeted by a concierge who'd guide them to their destination.

The ground floor, notes the report, is designed to soak in a lot of natural light from the roof of the building to highlight its fine interiors.

"From the very beginning, the boutique has been unique because of its universal vocation: its opening in 1899 is associated with the arrival of Louis Cartier at the head of the maison and the establishment of the design studio," said Pierre Rainero, director of image, style and heritage at Cartier, in another report. "As the cradle of major stylistic trends in jewellery, the 13 Paix boutique has always been a source of inspiration for Cartier maisons around the world."
