Kara Ross Shines At The CFDA Awards
New York, NY—Jewelry designer Kara Ross was well represented at the CFDA Awards, held June 2 at Lincoln Center in New York.
The CFDA Awards, from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, are the “Oscars” of the fashion industry. The designer naturally wore her own jewelry, as did Vanity Fair magazine’s Amy Fine Collins and retailer Cameron Silver, owner of Decades vintage boutique in Los Angeles.
Ross wore large graduating Hydra earrings in 18kt yellow gold with rock crystal and diamonds, the Petra narrow split cuff in raw and smooth 18kt yellow gold with diamonds, two thin Hydra cuffs, one in 18k yellow gold and one in 18k yellow gold with diamonds, and finally, the small Pangea ring in 18k yellow gold with ruby, rubellite, opal, and diamonds.
Collins wore Petra one-of-a-kind earrings in 18k yellow gold with cocina, white quartz, and diamonds; a geometric cuff in sterling silver with Tahitian pearls, the Broken Sidewalk ring in sterling silver with concrete and diamonds, a cuff bracelet in sterling silver with carved magnolia wood from a tree planted on the White House lawn by President Andrew Jackson, and she carried Ross’s “Gemmo” clutch in black selenite resin.
