Audra Mari, “Miss World America,” In Takat
National Harbor, MD—Audra Mari (left) wore one-of-a-kind emerald and diamond earrings in 18k white and yellow gold by Takat as she was crowned “Miss World America 2016” on July 8. The 22-year-old from Fargo, ND wore the earrings with a green gown to match her green eyes. Shortly after winning the title, Mari commented, “Emerald green is my color and I fell in love with these earrings the minute I saw them. They really helped me shine in the competition.”
A professional model, Mari became acquainted with the Takat brand while doing humanitarian work with the Irie Foundation, of which the brand is a sponsor. She was in Las Vegas with the brand modeling the jewelry during the Luxury by JCK show.
The earrings she wore for the pageant have cushion-shaped emeralds, approximately 12.53 ctw in a pavé “pillow” of white diamonds suspended from a diamond top. Total diamond weight is approximately 7.76 ctw; earrings are GIA certified and retail for approximately $450,000.
As Miss World America, Mari will represent the United States competing for the Miss World title.
