About our efforts:
The majority of our support is done in the way of monetary contributions whether in the form of jewelry for a auction item or in dollars to help under write a program.

We been most involved with Mills-Peninsula Hospital for several years. Colleen is a Foundation Board member and past president of the Women’s Health Council. Eight years ago we underwrote, by way invitation only fund raiser at a private home with designer, Stephen Webster, the first Women’s Luncheon/Lecture for 180 guests. We are looking at selling out again in our 9th year in April, with 900 attendees. We have continued our support in underwriting. The event has become the most successful women’s health event on the Peninsula. We also helped with the New Women’s Health Center at the Mills Hospital campus.

Samaritan House:
This organization helps the poor and under privileged in San Mateo county. We have worked with their MAIN EVENT for several years to help make it a success. Most recently we hosted a cocktail event to honor some of Samaritan House’s remarkable volunteers Community Gate Path: They work with the mentally and physically disabled in San Mateo county. We help with raising funds for their annual events and help stock their resell shop.

Sequoia Hospital:
They serve the South Peninsula. We have helped with the fundraising for their new maturity beds and new maturity ward. Several new state of the art birthing beds have been purchased. Most recently we donated a private, after hours, shopping spree for 6. It created a wonderful bidding war and thousands of dollars were raised.

Over the past years we have helped sponsor for The Winner Breakfast were they honor both young and old for overcoming enormous
challenges.

San Mateo Police Activities League:
The San Mateo Police Activities League is a police-operated recreational, educational, and leisure activities program targeting the youth of San Mateo and surrounding communities. We have supported this organization for the past couple of years with fundraising. We are trying to do more auctions items that are event based with the hopes of getting new clients in the salon. It involves the entire staff and is a lot of work but also a lot of fun for everyone. Our efforts in the community affect our business by bringing us new clients year in and year out. Our involvement locally also shows our solid work ethic in support of community. In supporting our community our community
supports us!

Over the last 15 years since we’ve been in business we have donated tens of thousands of dollars for the betterment of others in San Mateo County.

One must remember that there but for the grace of God go I. We can all do our part.
