Centurion Design Awards Presented To 12 Companies |  February 05, 2014 (0 comments)

Scottsdale, AZ—13 exhibitors at this week’s Centurion Scottsdale Show have won Centurion Design Awards. The awards, voted on by the retail attendees of the show, were presented at a gala dinner on Monday, Feb. 3.

The evening's event was sponsored by VERANDA magazine. Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company., Chippenhook, and Exhibit Management Corp. were supporting sponsors of the awards competition. David Sexton of Jewelers Mutual and Richard Zucker of Exhibit Management alternated as award presenters, along with Jenny Luker of the Platinum Guild International and Michael Barlerin of the Silver Promotion Service, who each presented the award to the winner of their respective category.

Here are the winning pieces and companies in each category: 

A. Link, below left, won the Bridal category for a shared prong halo engagement ring in platinum, approximately 3.00 ctw., with special detailing on the shank. Jack Abraham won the Colored Stone Classic category for a unique fine gem Thai ruby in platinum and 18k yellow gold, below right.

The winner of the Colored Stone Fashion was Spark Creations, below left, for 38.30 ct. Ethiopian opal, combined with 9.79 ct. spessartite and 2.21 ctw. of diamonds, with yellow gold accents. The winner of the Contemporary Metals category was Rebecca, for a cuff of 24k rose gold over bronze with shimmering accents, below right.

William Levine, below left, won the Diamond Classic category for a platinum bracelet with 19 cushion cut diamonds, 10.19 ctw., edged with 412 full-cut diamonds weighing 1.34 ctw., and Siera won the Diamond Fashion category for an 18kt white gold fancy necklace with diamonds and onyx, below right.

 

In the Gold category, the winner was Heather Moore, for a 14k yellow gold locket ring featuring a 14k white gold raised date and interior plate, and topped with a channel-set diamond hinged cap. Image is shown below left. The winner of the Mixed Precious Metals category, below right, was Armen Sarkisyan, for this Sacred Heart in 22K Gold with oxidized silver, diamonds, rose-cut diamonds, rubellite, kyanite, and sapphires.

Yvel won the Pearl category with an 18K white gold bracelet combining 21 by 23 mm silver baroque fresh water Souffle pearls set with 9.85 ctw. diamonds, below left, and Coast Diamond won the Platinum category, for a ring featuring a vibrant 3.90 ct. heart- shaped gem spinel surrounded by diamonds, below right.

Finally, Syna (below left) won the Sterling Silver categpry, for a silver owl pendant with 18k yellow gold accents, champagne diamonds, and tsavorite eyes and, in the Watches category, the winner was a Swiss made, numbered limited edition (499) timepiece, with multicolor baguette-cut sapphires, diamonds, bezel, lugs and buckle, by Marco Moore.
