Merrick, NY—Three lucky winners of the Eighth Annual Centurion Emerging Design Competition will receive a showcase and exhibit space at the Centurion Scottsdale 2016 show, scheduled for January 31-February 2, 2016.

The competition, sponsored again this year by Stuller, is open to any jewelry designer who has never before exhibited in a U.S. fine jewelry trade show. The competition is open to all designers, regardless of experience, formal training, or background in jewelry design, but entrants must show lines or one-of-a-kind designs that are suitable for a luxury jewelry store environment, and their company must be capable of both exhibiting at a trade show and fulfilling any wholesale orders received at the show.

“The Centurion Emerging Design Competition is an excellent opportunity for up-and-coming and international designers to break into the U.S. luxury fine jewelry market, by getting their line in front of the most premiere audience of carefully selected prestige jewelers,” said Howard Hauben, president of Centurion. “For retail jewelers, the Centurion Emerging Design winners offer an opportunity to discover new talent to set your store apart,” he added.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to sponsor the Emerging Designer Competition,” says Stuller executive director of marketing and public relations, Ashley Brown.  “The discovery of untapped talent is essential to the jewelry industry. And their work offers a fresh perspective on luxury design that’s both exciting and inspired.”

“Centurion was a great success for me! The hugely positive feedback I got from your audience and the entire experience was priceless,” says Tom Rucker of London, United Kingdom, one of the three winners of the 2015 competition.

“Winning the 2015 Centurion Emerging Designer Competition helped me in business by creating a video with the story of my award in collaboration with the Centurion team to show my collections and the importance this award has for new designers,” adds Hector Hassey of New York, another of the 2015 winners.

Deadline for entry is September 30, 2015. Entrants are required to submit up to three images of finished jewelry; no renderings or CAD drawings will be accepted. Images must be .jpg format, and each image must include a detailed description of the piece: what it is, metals, gemstones, etc.

Entries will be judged by a special judging panel to narrow down to the finalists, who then will be voted on by Centurion’s Board of Retail Advisors. For more information and to access the entry form, click the link below:
