CENTURION PETS: TUCKER AND BAILEY HARD AT WORK July 20, 2011 (1 comment)
Merrick, NY--The Centurion's offices aren't the only places with loyal and busy four-footed staff members. At left, Bailey--short for Bailey's Irish Dream--is a four year old Lhasa Apso/miniature Schnauzer mix rescued by journalist, gemologist, and appraiser Diana Jarrett. Bailey, in the words of his owner, is "totally fun and knows a boatload of tricks."
"You know the routine: trade journalists' work is often long and intensive in its concentration," she told The Centurion. (Yes, we do know the routine!) "My office manager Bailey keeps me on track and sometimes takes over the PC to surf for other fur-buddies, or helps me deliver apprasial documents to a client," says Jarrett, who also conducts appraisals for antique jewelers and upscale pawnshops.
Meanwhile, Tucker, below, a two year old West Highland white terrier (Westie) is a favorite of Vahan's midwest manager Steven Stern. "I'm so stupid crazy about him!" gushes his owner. No ordinary dog collar will do for this pampered pooch, either--here he models a Vahan necklace and enhancer made of gold, diamonds, and sterling.
