Las Vegas, NV--Chantecler Capri’s Nautilus necklace was one of the winners at the Couture Design Awards, held Saturday in Las Vegas, as part of the Couture Show, held June 4 -8.

The necklace placed first in the “Haute Couture” category of the awards competition. The necklace is part of a suite of jewels paying homage to the Tyrrhenian Sea that borders the island of Capri.

The necklace featuring 14 iridescent nautilus shells that peek among colorful titanium branches. The artistic and allegorical work is executed in a mix of white enamel, gold, titanium and diamonds. The stark bright white light is enveloped in gray and punctuated with iridescent, gradient shades of blue, all representing the aura of the white caps in the mid-winter sea.

The Nautilus necklace has a wealth of meaning combining myth, glamour and tradition in addition to a complicated production with specialty design and high-tech elements.

"We are thrilled to have been selected by our peers for the honor of the 'Haute Couture Award'", said Maria Elena Aprea, Chantecler creative director. "Our heritage is the beating heart of each piece I design and the 'Capriness' of our Nautilus necklace continues to tell our story, inspired by the beauty of our surroundings with advanced design and technical details.”

Matching earrings and a ring complete the high jewelry set.
