The legacy that began with Will Hurwitz, following his father Ben Hurwitz's entrepreneurial footsteps, has become a full-service jewelry establishment. This year, Colonial Jewelers commemorates its Diamond Jubilee, marking 75 years of dedication to fine jewelry.

Jeff Hurwitz, who managed the family business in 1978 with his wife, Patty, and later, their daughter, Sarah Hurwitz Robey, reflects on this milestone in a report published in The Frederick News Post.

"It is extremely gratifying to know something my parents started and I spent my entire life nurturing will continue to the next generation," said Jeff Hurwitz in the report. "I'm very proud to celebrate 75 years in Frederick, as the oldest business in Downtown."

Per the report, the Hurwitz family adheres to the Golden Rule in all aspects of their business, fostering a culture of respect and professionalism. With their focus on continuous education and embracing innovation, this approach has been a key to success.

Both Jeff and Sarah are certified graduate gemologists, ensuring that each diamond selected for sale meets the highest standards of quality and beauty.

"A natural diamond is now and will always be the ultimate symbol of love," said Sarah Hurwitz Robey, per the report. "It has been valued for hundreds of years and its durability and rarity make it the go-to choice for engagement and wedding rings, as well as other gifts of love."

As Colonial Jewelers steps into its next chapter, "75 Years and Beyond," the team reaffirms its dedication to advancing custom design and technology.
