COUTURE GEARS UP FOR 2011 September 07, 2010 (0 comments)

New York, NY--Organizers of the Couture Show announced recently that 130 of its participating brands have committed to the event for the next three years.

Couture, which will be held June 2-6, 2011 at the Wynn Las Vegas, will be hosting 3,000 room nights during the week, and providing transportation between the Wynn and the JCK Show at Mandalay Bay.

The Couture Show, targeted to high-end retailers and manufacturers, features an upscale business environment, including elegant cocktail networking events, top-notch amenities, and opening night festivities with popular musical entertainment.

Jim DeMattei, president of ViewPoint Showrooms in New York, has been a Couture exhibitor since the show’s inception. “The show’s continual innovation and attention to the market keeps us here. No other show provides us the same quality of retailer prospects and buyers, and we look forward to another three years of business growth with Couture,” he says.

Glenn Rothman, CEO of Boston-based Hearts On Fire, says, “Couture has consistently taken the lead in serving the needs of the high-end designer jewelry and watch market. The 2010 event was a resounding success for our brand. We couldn’t be more pleased to continue our relationship with the event.”

Fiona Tilley, president of Gurhan, New York, added, “Not only were we back-to-back with appointments with so many of our current retailers, we launched some fabulous new relationships with other great stores who appreciate luxury, fine jewelry, and fashion.”

The next step for Couture lies in identifying and securing the retailers for its hosted program, says Chris Casey, vice president of the NielsenJewelry Group.  “Working closely with our exhibiting brands and combining that with Nielsen’s award-winning research capabilities ensures we’ll deliver the best U.S. and international retailers to the Couture Marketplace in 2011 and beyond.”

Retailers like Kim Brinkhaus of Brinkhaus Jewelers in Calgary, Alberta, Canada have great praise for the event. “Unlike much of the basic merchandise we saw at other Las Vegas jewelry venues, Couture’s exhibitors showed us fresh and unique designers that will inspire our clients to want to buy jewelry. It excited us!” she says.

More than 90% of the event’s exhibitors exhibit exclusively at Couture, ensuring it remains the destination in Las Vegas for high-end designs from top international brands as well as the industry’s rising stars. The Couture brand is part of the Nielsen Expositions’ Jewelry Group.
