ENDIAMA E.P. is Angola's national diamond mining company, while SODIAM E.P. is the state-owned entity responsible for marketing and exporting the country's natural diamond production. Their accession adds Angola's mining and marketing arms to the NDC’s membership, the release stated.

According to the release, the move follows commitments under the Luanda Accord, signed in June 2025 by diamond-producing countries and industry stakeholders including Angola, Botswana, De Beers, and midstream representatives. The accord outlined coordinated action to support the natural diamond industry through marketing, education, and investment initiatives led by the NDC. The NDC confirmed receipt of Angola’s financial contribution tied to the agreement.

Sandrine Conseiller, CEO of De Beers Brands and chair of the NDC, said the addition of ENDIAMA and SODIAM expands representation across the natural diamond value chain.

ENDIAMA Chairman Dr. José Manuel Augusto Ganga Júnior said Angola's membership reflects a commitment to long-term investment in the natural diamond industry, while SODIAM Chairman Dr. Eugénio Pereira Bravo da Rosa said joining the NDC strengthens Angola’s role in global diamond industry coordination, the release noted.

The NDC also said its board is reviewing governance documents to allow broader participation across the natural diamond value chain, aimed at increasing inclusivity and transparency within the organization.
