|Venice, Italy--VicenzaOro and its invitation-only preview, About J, were held Sept. 4-11 in Vizenza and Venice, Italy. About J, an intimate preview of the larger Vicenza fair, drew 34 Italian and global luxury brands, while the larger VicenzaOro fair drew approximately 1200 brands.
For many years, the fall edition of VicenzaOro was considered to be primarily a domestic affair, as most international retailers had long since finished their holiday buying. But in recent years, the fall show has become a more important international event. Between retailers relying on just-in-time inventory and an increase in buyers from countries whose gift-giving seasons don't fall in December, buying has become a year-round event.
