Exclusive Video! Tiny Jewel Box Celebrates Opening Of Latest Addition December 09, 2015 (0 comments)
Washington, DC—It’s been so long since the Tiny Jewel Box was actually tiny that the irony of the name is just a fact of life. And on December 3, the 85-year-old jeweler celebrated the grand opening of its latest expansion, taking over a former Burberry store adjacent to its existing location on Connecticut Avenue, just blocks away from the White House.
The new space allows owners Jim and Matthew Rosenheim to concentrate all the store’s jewelry, watches, and gifts on one floor, leaving the upper floors free for manufacturing, corporate sales, and offices. The space also gives them a coveted corner entrance at Connecticut and M Streets.
The store’s exterior was all lit up in a wash of red light for the event (left), making it stand out on an already grand boulevard in the nation’s capital—quite a feat on the same night as the lighting of the White House Christmas tree. The Centurion was on hand for the event; watch an exclusive video tour of the store narrated by Jim Rosenheim here.
Many familiar names from the designer world were there as well to host trunk shows for the event. Among them were designers Mark and Josette Patterson, who have been friends and vendors of the Rosenheims and Tiny Jewel Box from their early days in the industry.
