Falls Churca, VA: Trays of Jewelry Stolen At Gunpoint January 21, 2022 (0 comments)

Falls Church, VA--At 1:00 p.m. the two suspects pictured above carried out an armed robbery at a retail jewelry store stealing a large quantity of assorted jewelry. The suspects shopped for 12 minutes before the robbery, and were not wearing gloves. The suspect above left displayed what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, and both suspects fled in the pictured vehicle.

This gunpoint robbery of a retail jewelry store is one of four in the MD/VA area between 12/24/21 and 01/07/22, all of which occurred on a Friday. One of robberies in Takoma, MD (12/24/21) was previously reported in a JSA Crime Alert dated 01/06/22. There was another in Wheaton, MD on 12/31/21, in addition to the two reported in this Alert.

Recommendations:

1. Do not resist in a gunpoint robbery. Attempting to go up against a robber with a gun risks not only your own life, but the lives of your staff, customers and innocent passersby.

2. Do not chase after robbers which also risks injury or death.

3. Lock the doors and call police immediately after robbers have left. Do not clean up or disturb the crime scene.
