Florida Jewelry Store Owner Arrested for Alleged Cocaine Trafficking January 06, 2025 (0 comments)
Spring Hill, FL--The owner of a jewelry store in Hernando County has been arrested for allegedly selling cocaine from his business. According to a report by WTSP-TV, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Friday at Three J Jewelers on Deltona Boulevard in Spring Hill, uncovering quantities of cocaine and crack cocaine at the store.

The sheriff's office identified the store owner as 54-year-old Pedro Martinez. He is accused of selling "trafficking amounts" of cocaine and is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on a $275,000 bond.
The WTSP-TV report noted that the Hernando County Vice and Narcotics Unit launched an investigation into the jewelry store several months ago. However, authorities did not disclose what initially prompted the investigation.
Martinez faces multiple charges, including:
- Trafficking in Cocaine (1 count)
- Sale of Cocaine (4 counts)
- Possession of a Structure with Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance (4 counts)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (4 counts)
- Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device (4 counts)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (4 counts)
WTSP-TV reported that the investigation and arrest were part of ongoing efforts by the sheriff's office to combat drug trafficking in the area.
