Per a report in Biz Journals, the new store is designed with elements like a bar inspired by Manhattan establishments, a dedicated Rolex section, and a secluded area for bridal consultations.
Kimberly Adams Russell, president of Frank Adams Jewelers, spoke in the report about the importance of privacy for customers, a key factor in the store's design.
"We needed a space where we could take a client where they were alone with us, where we could show things one on one, where other people weren't looking at their purchases also, where that customer felt like there was privacy," Russell said.
"We are a very busy store, so on any given Saturday, our bridal counter could have had five or six different clients. So if you have someone who's doing something very special ... it really wasn't a comfortable environment for people to do something in private," Russell added.
The store's layout was developed in collaboration with WCGS Architects and Studio K, chosen for their unconventional approach to retail design despite their lack of experience in jewelry store projects.
The construction was managed by Bonacquisti Brothers Construction. Growth in high-end watch sales, particularly Rolex, has been a significant driver for the expansion, according to Jeffrey Adams Russell, client experience manager.
The development also includes a secondary building, offering rental space suitable for businesses that complement the jewelry store, aiming for a blend of upscale retail and luxury services.
