Ross Nusser Enters Iowa City Council Race January 14, 2025 (0 comments)

Iowa City, IA--Ross Nusser, a lifelong Iowa City resident and brother of the owner of Hands Jewelers, has announced his candidacy for the District C seat on the Iowa City Council. The seat was vacated following the resignation of council member Andrew Dunn, The Mighty 1630 KCJJ reported.

These initiatives, he stated, align with his dedication to improving the lives of Iowa City residents while continuing to uphold his family's deep-rooted business legacy in the community.
Nusser’s leadership extends beyond his business endeavors. He is the current President of the Board of Directors for Community and Family Resources and has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Housing Fellowship. Additionally, he has contributed as a committee member on the Johnson County Comprehensive Plan Committee and as a Commissioner for the Johnson County Compensation Commission, The Mighty 1630 KCJJ noted.
Nusser’s brother Charles' business, Hands Jewelers, has been a downtown Iowa City fixture since 1853, making it one of the city's oldest establishments. He also co-founded Urban Acres Real Estate, further showcasing his commitment to the local business community.Learn more in this report.
