Hearts On Fire Supplies Diamonds For CFDA-Winning Designer’s New Collection On Net-A-Porter February 17, 2021 (0 comments)

Boston, MA—Hearts On Fire announces its involvement with Afro-futurist jewelry designer Jameel Mohammed and his brand, KHIRY, in its first-ever fine jewelry collection. The new collection, KHIRY FINE, debuts later this month exclusively at Net-A-Porter, the online luxury e-commerce site.

The 25-year-old Mohammed, who is Black, is part of The Vanguard, Net-A-Porter’s program for emerging design talent. He also is a recipient of the Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Elaine Gold Launch Pad Award. The KHIRY brand, founded in Mohammed's University of Pennsylvania dorm room, started off with demi-fine materials but has now entered into the fine jewelry category with precious metals and gemstones. Hearts On Fire was selected to support the new collection with natural white diamonds. The collection was inspired by Mohammed’s vision to channel the beauty, art, and culture of the African Diaspora.

Time magazine recently featured poet Amanda Gorman wearing pieces from the collection with Hearts On Fire diamonds. Gorman wore the Mask earrings (retail, $5,000) and the Khartoum stacking ring with diamond trim (retail, $3,500).

“We are enormous fans of KHIRY and Jameel’s work, so we were thrilled that Hearts On Fire diamonds were selected for this new collection. Supporting emerging jewelry designers and their use of natural diamonds is critically important to our industry and something we are very committed to,” says Caryl Capeci, CEO, Chow Tai Fook North America, which owns the Hearts On Fire brand.

“It was a joy to use Hearts On Fire diamonds for this project. The diamonds' incredible brilliance shines in large groups but even more so as individual stones. As this is our debut fine jewelry collection, Hearts On Fire diamonds were critical in achieving the beauty and intensity I was after," said Mohammed.
