Basking Ridge, NJ--Henry’s Fine Jewelry showcased a range of ruby jewelry designs in recognition of ruby as the birthstone for July, according to a recent Facebook post. The collection features necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets set with rubies and diamonds in yellow, white, and rose gold.

The selection includes a 14K yellow gold ruby and diamond bar-style necklace, an 18K yellow gold oval ruby alternating pattern ring, and a 14K yellow gold ruby and diamond drop necklace. Also listed are 14K rose gold ruby and diamond halo stud earrings and 14K rose and white gold ruby and diamond starburst stud earrings.

As the post noted, white gold pieces include a 14K white gold ruby and diamond vintage-style necklace, an 18K white gold ruby and diamond circle necklace, a 14K white gold ruby and diamond halo three-stone ring, and a 14K white gold ruby and diamond alternating halo-style tennis bracelet. The collection also features an 18K white gold diamond-by-the-yard ruby and diamond halo necklace, an 18K white gold ruby and diamond bezel ring by Simon G. Jewelry, as well as other ruby rings and drop earrings in 14K white gold.

Ruby is a variety of the mineral corundum, and it owes its red color to the presence of chromium. According to GIA, the finest ruby color is known as “pigeon’s blood,” a deep red with a hint of purple.
