Houston Men Sentenced for Armed Rolex Robbery in Lake Charles August 20, 2024 (0 comments)
Lake Charles, LA--Four Houston men have been sentenced for their roles in the armed robbery of Nederland Jewelers. U.S. District Judge James D. Cain Jr. sentenced the men after they pleaded guilty to interference with commerce by robbery.

As per a report in KLFY, Phaezon Stewart, 24, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison. Joshua Evans, 35, received 11 years and five months. Cary S. Nimmons Jr., 32, was sentenced to eight years and nine months, and Johnson Moore, 25, was sentenced to 11 years and two months.
Each will serve an additional three years of supervised release.
The report added that the robbery occurred on June 8, 2020. Stewart entered the store with a handgun, while Evans and another accomplice, Trevione James Terry, 26, used hammers to break display cases and steal Rolex watches worth over $350,000. The group fled in a white Porsche before meeting with Nimmons and Moore at a nearby casino.
Law enforcement tracked the men to Pryce Street in Lake Charles, where they arrested Terry and Evans with a backpack containing most of the watches. Nimmons and Moore were apprehended nearby.
The FBI, the Lake Charles Police Department, and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated the case. Terry’s sentencing is scheduled for October 10.
