In Memoriam: Former Jeweler Glenn Bellinger September 27, 2021 (0 comments)

Hampstead, MD –Glenn Gooding Bellinger, a former jeweler in Rehoboth, DE and Washington, DC, died Sept. 25 in Hampstead, Md. He was 99. Image: CapeGazette.com

Bellinger was born in Mendon, NY, but moved to Washington, DC as a youth and graduated from McKinley Technology High School there. He worked for the former Coast and Geodetic Survey before serving in the U.S. Navy Pacific theatre in WWII. 

Following his military service, he owned G.G. Bellinger Mfg. Jeweler in Washington, DC for over 25 years and Ye Ole Jewel Shoppe in Rehoboth Beach for nearly 30 years. He was a past member of Riverdale Presbyterian Church, Riverdale, Md., Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Beach, and First Presbyterian Church, Westminster, Md.

Bellinger is survived by his wife of 75 years, Bernice (Yanhko) Bellinger; children Bob (Pat Zungoli), Pendleton, SC, Glenna Kinney (Chuck), Westminster, MD, and Dale (Nancy) Bellinger, Rehoboth Beach, DE; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
