In Memoriam: Hadjee Hakimian, Co-Founder of Doves June 18, 2014 (0 comments)
Great Neck, NY--Hadjee Hakimian, co-founder of Doves by Doron Paloma, died June 10 following complications from surgery. He was 79.
Hakimian was born in Mashad, Iran, and worked as a diamond cutter in Israel for many years before emigrating to the United States. He started Doves with his wife Diana in 1979. Today ,the company is run by his son, Doron. Diana remains active in the business, along with a nephew, Yossi Abrahimi, and Doron’s wife, Debbie Hakimian.
Hakimian is survived by his wife and son, a daughter who is not in the jewelry business, and many grandchildren.
