In Memoriam: Steven J. Shonebarger, Luxury Jewelry And Watch Veteran May 13, 2015 (0 comments)
Chantilly, VA—Steve Shonebarger, whose 25+ year career in the jewelry industry included such prestige retail, wholesale, and watch industry names as Mayor’s, Harry Winston, and Corum, died suddenly on Sunday. He was 66.
According to National Jeweler, Shonebarger had just returned from a company trip for his current employer, de Grisogno, at the time of his death. He was vice president of wholesale for the U.S. market for the Swiss-based company. Prior to joining de Grisogno, Shonebarger was COO of Corum North America from 2009 until 2014. He also held senior vice president positions at Bvlgari, Harry Winston, and Mayors Jewelers in Miami. He oversaw merchandising and marketing for Mayors.
Shonebarger, a native of Lancaster, OH, was an avid golfer and sports fan, and in the industry he was a member of the 24 Karat Club Of The City Of New York. He is survived by five children, six grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, and his mother.
