Timonium, MD--It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jesse Craig, a true legend in the jewelry industry and a beloved member of the Smyth Jewelers family.

Jesse began his remarkable career with Smyth Jewelers as a buyer in 1977 and was also a co-owner of Craig Coyne Jewelers in Ellicott City. Jesse was a cherished friend to many—a warm, generous, and genuine person.  His impact on our team and the entire industry is immeasurable.

Jesse will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know and work with him. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those mourning this tremendous loss.

May his memory be a blessing.

I first met Jesse in the mid-‘80’s and last spoke with him at the end of May this year..  During all these years, I knew that even though I was the salesperson, I should let Jesse do the talking.  He was so well-versed in every aspect of our industry and because of his obvious integrity, I took everything he said as gospel. He never steered me wrong.  Over the years, we became close friends and I will miss him more than I care to think about. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Jesse since the 80’s.  He has always treated vendors with the utmost of respect, while protecting the Smyth Brand.

Jesse was a gentleman,  and I will miss him.  Heaven gained a fine man.  I will always think of him fondly, and he will be missed.
