Instappraise and NAJA Offer 2 New Scholarships for Aspiring Jewelry Appraisers March 28, 2024 (0 comments)

New York, NY--Jewelry appraisal company, Instappraise, is collaborating with the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) to introduce scholarships for aspiring and established jewelry appraisers.

“Our mission at Instappraise has always been to elevate the industry by providing the right tools to the right people and it all starts with education,” said Raphael Boivin, founder of Instappraise. “NAJA is at the forefront of appraisal education and plays a major leadership role in training the next generation of professional jewelry appraisers. We hope the new scholarships will help increase awareness in the jewelry appraisal field and make advanced appraisal education more accessible to more individuals.”

The inaugural Instappraise NAJA Non-Member Scholarship includes a one-year NAJA membership fee, lessons 1-5 of the NAJA Appraisal Studies Course, and a one-year subscription to the Instappraise appraisal software platform. The total value amounts to more than $2,000.

Designed specifically for existing NAJA members, the Instappraise NAJA Member Scholarship includes a one-year NAJA membership fee, lessons 6-18 of the NAJA Appraisal Studies Course, and a one-year subscription to Instappraise appraisal software platform. The total scholarship value is $1,775.00.

Applicants for both scholarships are required to meet specific eligibility criteria and adhere to outlined conditions. Among the requirements, candidates must submit an essay detailing their reasons for deserving the scholarship, and how it will impact their professionalism and career aspirations. In addition, applicants must provide supporting documentation of their gemological qualifications (GG, FGA, FGAA, FGG, FCGmA, or RGA) and ensure timely completion of coursework within specified timeframes (five months for non-members or 12 months for members.

“This partnership with Instappraise is a continuation of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers’ commitment to appraisal education and supporting individuals in their pursuit of professional achievements,” says Gail Brett Levine, GIA GG, executive director of NAJA.

The application deadline for the scholarships is June 15th, 2024, and the recipients of the scholarships will be announced at NAJA's 62nd Annual ACEit© Mid-Year Education Conference, which will be held from August 10 - 12, 2024.
