Kerrville, TX--Family-owned retailer James Avery Artisan Jewelry is celebrating its 70th anniversary. Founded in 1954 by James Avery in Kerrville, Texas, the company has grown from a garage start-up to a notable name in the jewelry industry.

With a significant expansion over seven decades, James Avery now operates over 120 company-owned stores and more than 200 wholesale outlets across the US. The company's design ethos remains rooted in the Texas Hill Country, with 90 percent of its pieces produced in Texas.

Lindsey Avery Tognietti, Director of Customer Service & Marketing Communication, reaffirmed the company's dedication to its customers and their meaningful life moments. CEO John McCullough emphasized the brand's commitment to its founder's vision of creating jewelry that symbolizes love and connection.

"For 70 years, we've been honored to be a part of our Customers' lives through the dream and artistry of our founder," McCullough said in a news release. "We continue his legacy by creating designs that speak to love, meaning and the connection we all have with our families and loved ones. Our anniversary, coupled with this wonderful award and recognition is a tribute to all businesses, big and small, that start with an idea that blossoms into a legacy."

Recently, the company received the Texas Treasure Business Award from the Texas Historical Commission (THC), presented by Rep. Andrew Murr (R-Kerrville). This award recognizes James Avery Artisan Jewelry's long-term contribution to the Texas economy and its role in providing employment opportunities for over 50 years.
