Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California Names 2023 Honorees May 31, 2023 (0 comments)
Marina del Rey, CA-- The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California and its Board of Directors announced the 2023 honorees during its 79th Annual Dinner Dance and Gala, set for Saturday, October 7, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

According to a release, Georgie Gleim, president of Gleim the Jeweler, Palo Alto, is the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Her business and community involvement includes prestigious positions within the American Gem Society, Jewelers of America, and Jewelers Education Foundation. Recognitions such as the Robert M Shipley Award and the Palo Alto Tall Tree Award add to her distinguished career.
The release noted that Shelly Sergent, Curator of Somewhere in the Rainbow Collection in Phoenix, has been named this year's Excellence in Service honoree. Sergent's work aims to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for colored gems and artisan-crafted jewelry. She has presented her work globally, with notable exhibitions at institutions including The Smithsonian and Harvard. Her honors include the 2022AGS Sallie Morton Award and the 2023 AGTA Leon Rixler achievement award.
The Rising Star Award honoree is Molly Peterson, Bridal Buyer at Ben Bridge Jeweler in Seattle. Peterson boasts a 12-year industry tenure and brings her experience to Ben Bridge's proprietary bridal brand, Bella Ponte. Her managerial skills earned her awards, including Store of the Year and Highest Store Sales Increase.

Georgie, Shelly and Molly are all truly deserving people, who all work to make our industry and communities better,” said Adam Graham, president of the Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California, as per the release. “We invite everyone out to celebrate with us on October 7th at the beautiful Ritz Carlton. on the water in Marina Del Rey.”
