New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, is celebrating its 115th anniversary this month, and is offering certification and membership discounts to commemorate the milestone during Founder’s Month.
Jewelers of America was founded in August, 1906, when two trade groups, American Retail Jewelers Association and National Retail Jewelers Association, came together to create the American National Retail Jewelers Association, which would later become Jewelers of America. Over its rich history, JA has continued to serve its members and the fine jewelry marketplace by providing resources, representation, and recognition.
In honor of JA's founding, JA members will receive discounted Sales and Management Professional Certification exams at the low cost of $19.06 (originally $55) now through August 31, 2021. In addition, all JA members are now eligible to take the Level 1 Sales Professional Certification free of charge.
Jewelers of America is also offering a membership discount of $115 for companies interested in joining the organization. This offer is available to new Jewelers of America members through December 31, 2021.
“We are excited to celebrate Jewelers of America’s 115th anniversary during Founder’s Month,” says JA president and CEO, David J. Bonaparte. “Jewelers of America is proud to share this milestone with our members as we continue our mission of improving consumer confidence in the fine jewelry industry.”
To celebrate the milestone, Jewelers of America has showcased 115 fun facts about the organization on its Instagram page.
