GENEVA, Switzerland--The best jewelry and watch retailers in the world are in Geneva during the annual Watches and Wonders watch fair in April and the exhibitors of JEWELLERY GENEVA, the International Jewellery Show, were there to serve their jewelry buying needs as they did for years at the former Baselworld.
The luxury buyers from all over the world converge in Geneva to buy their assortment of luxury watches. During this time, they also have the opportunity the view products at JEWELLERY GENEVA from 34 luxury jewelry designers and manufacturers primarily from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Italy makes up the largest contingent of exhibitors followed by Germany, Belgium, Spain and The Netherlands. JEWELLERY GENEVA, in its fourth year, was held April 1 – 7 at the President Hotel overlooking Lake Geneva, considered by many to be one of the world’s top luxury hotels.
H2 Events, Inc. owns and operates the show. It's CEO Howard Hauben said attendance surpassed last year’s totals by the fourth day. About 20% of the retailers are from Canada and the U.S. and the rest of the buyers are mainly from tye Middle East, Europe and Asia, but the entire world is represented.
Quality Not Quantity
But more importantly than the number of buyers is the importance of those buyers.
“It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality,” said Jack Zybert, CEO of Zydo, an Italian jewelry brand exhibiting at JEWELLERY GENEVA since the beginning. “The best buyers in the world are here in Geneva and we are here for them. It’s the right place to be.” Zydo jewels personify Italian style by combining classic elegant jewels with a refreshed sense of modernity.
A representative from the Italian jewelry brand, Nanis, had similar comments, adding that “We have plenty of appointments.” Nanis specializes in high crafted and versatile 18k yellow gold jewels. Colored gems and pave diamonds bring even more versatility to its collections.
