New York, NY--Johnny Nelson of Johnny Nelson Jewelry was selected as the recipient of the David Yurman GEM Awards Grant and will receive $50,000 as well as mentoring meetings with David Yurman executives and consultative meetings with other industry leaders.

Nelson will be honored on stage during the 24th annual GEM Awards on March 13. The selection was made by the GEM Awards Committee and David Yurman.

Johnny Nelson founded Johnny Nelson Jewelry in 2017 was born in England and raised in Brooklyn. Each piece is crafted in NYC using various fine metals and stones. His biggest influences include Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and the iconic neighborhood jewelers that elevated hip-hop culture in the 1980s and ’90s.
